Judy Gao ’27

Major: Neuroscience (intended)

Position: Managing Editor

Judy is a first-year student at Princeton University from Bridgewater, New Jersey, intending to major in neuroscience and hoping to pursue a global health and health policy minor. She serves as a managing editor of The Princeton Medical Review. On campus, she competes for the Varsity Women’s Fencing Team, is the founder of Students Tackling Overdose Prevention (S.T.O.P.), volunteers for National Alzheimer’s Buddies, and serves as a Features staff writer for The Daily Princetonian. Prior to her time at Princeton, Judy was a scholar at the New Jersey Governor’s School in the Sciences and also conducted extensive research on nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and various bile acid pathways. In her free time, she enjoys experimenting with fermentation, competing in trivia, watching historical dramas, and playing with her pet bird, Summer.

As a member of the inaugural executive board, Judy looks forward to greatly expanding The Princeton Medical Review during her time at Princeton. She aims to establish it as a trusted undergraduate publication that is a leading source of medical news and research.
